Dear Readers,
I am happy to announce that both the ebook and the paperback of How to Write Compelling Stories from Family
History are now LIVE on Amazon.
To celebrate the book launch, the Kindle version is free today, December 6! For one day only, so be sure to grab your copy today! It makes a great gift for anyone who's always "wanted to do something with" family records, documents, photos, stories, etc.
Author proof copies
It still amazes me how fast the publishing process works on KDP, Amazon's publishing platform. I received my author proof copies last Friday, found some issues and sent revisions to my book production manager, had a new file the next day, and uploaded that to KDP. After that, it took the ebook about 5 hours to go live, the paperback, however, took about 30 hours. Both versions of
the book aren't linked yet, which means they are on separate sales pages. This is mildly annoying as you won't see there's a Kindle version when you land on the paperback page, but according to KDP, this should be fixed within the next few days.
When I was still eagerly awaiting publication...
You can now help make this book launch a success by:
- Purchasing the book on Amazon! That's the only place it's
available.
- Posting a review to Amazon:
- Once you have purchased and read the book, please post a review to Amazon.
- Each and every review makes a big difference in pushing the book up in Amazon's rankings and making it more discoverable for other readers.
- If you bought the book, even if for free, your review will show up as a "Verified Purchase," which makes it more valuable on Amazon and less likely to be removed.
- Recommending it to friends and family, and sharing it on your social media if you feel people might be interested.
- Letting me know about Facebook groups and other organizations that might be interested in this book. Anything around genealogy is a hot market for me, and I'd be grateful for any tips! Plus I am always open to teaching my workshop "Shaping Family History into Compelling Stories," which was the
basis for the book, in new venues.
Thank you in advance for your help and your interest in my work.
Sincerely,
|
